MSDS Studio
Jessica Nakanishi and Jonathan Sabine are the directors of the Toronto-based furniture, lighting, and interior design firm MSDS Studio. Their work combines Jonathan's experience in furniture and cabinet-making with Jessica's knowledge of interior design. This multidisciplinarity informs the resourcefulness that is the hallmark of their practice.

Named Canadian Product Designers of the Year in 2015, MSDS Studio creates designs that engage contemporary culture. They consistently adhere to the enduring principles of good design and the rich inheritance of craftsmanship. Jonathan's bottle opener design even holds a place in the permanent collection of the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art. Their work thoughtfully synthesises considerations of material, form, space, and brief into resolved interior, furniture, and lighting designs.
